Statement of Faith of Apostolic Movement Ministries.

  1. God.

We believe in the one true God, who is eternal, infinite, and unchanging. He is the Creator of heaven and earth, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; Revelation 1:8). The Lord declares, “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from Me, there is no God” (Isaiah 45:5). Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9), and He is the express image of the invisible God (Hebrews 1:3). The mystery of godliness is great: God was manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16).

  1.  Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He is the Word made flesh, who dwelt among us (John 1:14). Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), and “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and by Him, all things were created (Colossians 1:15-16). In Him, all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form (Colossians 2:9).

  1. Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and testifies of Jesus Christ (John 15:26). The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who guides us into all truth (John 16:13). He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live a holy life and to be effective witnesses for Christ (Acts 1:8). The gifts of the Spirit are active in the Church today, as they were in the early Church (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

  1. Bible.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). We hold to the sufficiency of Scripture, believing it contains everything necessary for salvation and godly living (2 Peter 1:3).

  1. Salvation.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by works so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). To all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gives the right to become children of God (John 1:12). Salvation involves repentance, faith, baptism in water, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

  1. Repentance and Baptism.

We believe in the necessity of repentance and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Peter declared, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). Baptism is a burial with Christ, symbolizing death to sin and resurrection to new life (Romans 6:4). It is an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.

  1. Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. Jesus promised, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (Acts 1:8). On the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them (Acts 2:4). This experience is available to all believers and is essential for spiritual empowerment and effective ministry.

  1. Church.

We believe in the one, only, universal, and apostolic Church, which is the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the Church, and we are His members (Ephesians 1:22-23). The Church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). We are called to be a holy nation, a royal priesthood, a people belonging to God, declaring His praises (1 Peter 2:9).

  1. Great Commission.

We believe in the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ to His disciples: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of  Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). We are called to be witnesses of Christ to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8), proclaiming the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

  1. Second Coming of Christ.

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12). We look forward to the blessed hope—the glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13). On that day, the dead in Christ will rise first, and we who are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

  1. Resurrection and Eternal Life.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. Those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned (John 5:29). The righteous will inherit eternal life, while the wicked will face eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46). We eagerly await the new heaven and new earth, where righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13).

  1. Holiness and Godly Living.

We believe in living a life of holiness, separated from sin and dedicated to God. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). We are called to be holy because God is holy (1 Peter 1:16). Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honour God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are to flee from all forms of immorality and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22).

  1. Gifts of the Spirit.

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit in the Church today. The Holy Spirit distributes these gifts to each one, just as He determines (1 Corinthians 12:11). These gifts include wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:8-10). They are given for the common good and the edification of the Church (1 Corinthians 14:12).

  1. Ordinances of the Church.

We believe in the observance of the ordinances of the Church, including water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is a symbol of our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice, proclaiming His death until He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).

  1. Unity of the Body of Christ.

We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ, which is composed of all true believers. There is one body and one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all (Ephesians 4:4-6). We are called to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3).
